REYS Creative Studio (“REYS”, “we”, “our”) is a creative and marketing studio based in Laval, Quebec, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through reyscreativestudio.com and in the course of our services, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25) and Canada’s PIPEDA.
1. Who is responsible for your personal information
The person in charge of the protection of personal information at REYS is Reys David Pérez Flores, founder. You can reach him for any question or request about this policy at reysdavid98@gmail.com — Laval, Greater Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
2. What information we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, company name, project details and budget when you book a call (through Calendly), send us an email or a message (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger), or fill in a form. If you become a client, we also collect the billing details and the materials you share with us for your project.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, our hosting provider (WordPress.com, operated by Automattic) and its Jetpack Stats service record technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you and your approximate location (country or city). We use this data only as aggregated statistics; we do not use it to identify you personally.
Cookies and similar technologies. See section 4.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, and we do not collect information from children under 14 without the consent of a parent or guardian.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your requests and schedule your discovery call;
- To prepare proposals, deliver our services, manage your file and invoicing;
- To understand which content is useful and improve the site (aggregated statistics);
- To send you information about our services when you have asked for it — you can opt out at any time;
- To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
We use your information only for the purposes stated when it was collected, with your consent, or as otherwise permitted by law.
4. Cookies
- Essential cookies — needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice (a value named
reys_consent, kept in your browser for 6 months). They do not require consent. - Analytics — Jetpack Stats (Automattic) measures traffic in aggregated form. Google Analytics 4 (Google) loads only if you accept cookies in the banner; it helps us understand which pages and actions matter (calls booked, downloads, WhatsApp clicks).
- Marketing — the Meta Pixel (Meta) loads only if you accept cookies. It lets us measure our Meta ads and show them to people who visited the site.
- Third-party content — videos are embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (no cookies until you press play); the booking calendar is provided by Calendly and loads only when you open it; fonts are served by Google Fonts.
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time:
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then not work as intended.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate, and only to the extent necessary:
- Automattic — WordPress.com hosting and Jetpack (United States);
- Calendly — call scheduling (United States);
- Google — Google Fonts, YouTube, Google Analytics and email services (United States);
- Meta — Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and the Meta Pixel (United States).
These providers process data on our instructions and under their own privacy commitments. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.
6. Transfers outside Quebec
Some of our providers store data on servers located outside Quebec and Canada, mainly in the United States. Before communicating personal information outside Quebec, we assess the privacy risks as required by Law 25 and rely on providers that offer protection comparable to what Quebec law requires.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Inquiries that do not become projects are deleted after 24 months. Client files and invoices are kept for 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations. Analytics are kept only in aggregated, anonymous form. Once no longer needed, information is securely destroyed or anonymized.
8. Security
We apply reasonable physical, technical and organizational measures: secure hosting, HTTPS encryption, access limited to the person in charge, and two-factor authentication on our accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Should a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury occur, we will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and the persons concerned, as the law requires.
9. Your rights
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you;
- Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
- Withdrawal of consent — at any time, for the uses that rely on it;
- Deletion — where the law allows it;
- Portability — receive the computerized personal information you gave us in a structured, commonly used format;
- Complaint — to us first, and to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you live outside Canada, you may also contact your local data protection authority.
